A Million Dollar Month!<br />

<p>In mid-December 2011, I &#8220;decided&#8221; that I was going to<br />
make 2012 my best, most-profitable year ever. By<br />
December 31st, I had solidified that &#8220;decision&#8221; a little<br />
more and decided that January would be used to set in<br />
motion a year that was a minimum of &#8220;8-figures!&#8221;</p>
<p>In making that decision, I decided to use two bodies of<br />
knowledge. One was what I had learned from Dan Kennedy<br />
of a concept he called &#8220;The Phenomenon.&#8221; Dan pointed out<br />
that many businesses go through a growth spurt somewhere in<br />
their business life-cycle where they experience more growth<br />
in a 12-month period than they did in the preceding entire<br />
12 YEARS. Dan also teaches that you can trigger that<br />
phenomenon at will.</p>
<p>After studying Dan&#8217;s teachings at length, I decided to<br />
implement EXACTLY what he teaches.</p>
<p>The second body of knowledge, was the teachings of my<br />
good friend, Brian Ridgway, in something he calls &#8220;Level 5<br />
Training.&#8221;   Brian teaches that, as energetic beings, we<br />
have within us the capability to align ourselves in any<br />
way that we choose with other &#8220;things&#8221; in this universe<br />
of energy. Those things can include wealth, health, and<br />
happiness.</p>
<p>&#8220;Money&#8221; is nothing more than a form of that energy&#8230;<br />
nothing more than a concept really.</p>
<p>After tuning in several times to a free webinar that Brian<br />
offered, and then deciding to go deeper into his teachings by<br />
going through a 9-week series of weekly webinars, I fully<br />
understood how to do something that people had been trying<br />
to teach me all of my life.  I understood how to simply get<br />
out of my own way and allow abundant success, health,<br />
wealth, rich relationships, and happiness to flow into my life.</p>
<p>While out for a walk early the morning of January 2nd,<br />
2012, an idea was born &#8211; one that had probably been<br />
incubating for a while.</p>
<p>I had tuned in to the discussion on a very popular online<br />
forum, the Internet Marketing Warriors&#8221; a lot lately, and<br />
noticed that the prevailing belief seemed to be that not<br />
only were most of them not making very much money, but<br />
most of them didn&#8217;t really believe that it was possible.</p>
<p>On the morning of January 2nd, fully unleashing Brian&#8217;s<br />
training, I decided to show my fellow Warriors just how<br />
simple it is to earn more money than most of them honestly<br />
believed was possible.   I went back to my desk and<br />
wrote a &#8220;Warrior Special Offer&#8221; where I told them that<br />
in the month of January 2012, I would generate a minimum<br />
of $100,000 and that I would record everything that I did<br />
AS I did it, and send them daily email updates allowing<br />
them to sort of &#8220;watch over my shoulder.&#8221;</p>
<p>I elected to do this on the Warrior Forum because I have<br />
been an active member of that forum for over a dozen years.<br />
I have over 10,000 posts there, where I have freely shared<br />
my thoughts with a vibrant community that I feel a strong<br />
connection to.</p>
<p>I did charge $27 for the privilege of getting these daily<br />
updates.  I charged for this because experience has taught<br />
me that people really don&#8217;t appreciate things that you give<br />
them for free, but paying even a small price means that since<br />
they have some &#8220;skin in the game&#8221; they pay closer attention.</p>
<p>I posted this offer, and people immediately started taking<br />
me up on it, so I had to get busy writing those emails as<br />
I went about my routine of creating sales, BUT I promised to<br />
share with my fellow Warriors things that any of them can<br />
do.</p>
<p>You see, I acknowledge that with over 15 years of internet<br />
marketing experience, I am definitely NOT your average<br />
internet marketer.  So, in order to make the exercise<br />
meaningful for those following along, I had to consciously<br />
focus on doing things that any of them could do.</p>
<p>By January 5th, I realized that I had made a big mistake<br />
in that I had not invited my fellow Warriors, and even members<br />
of my Facebook community, to become affiliates and to earn<br />
money by helping to focus attention on my Warrior Special<br />
Offer.  So I went back and tied my WSO into an affiliate<br />
management system called WarriorPlus.</p>
<p>What WarriorPlus does is allow people to not only become<br />
affiliates for my product, but to earn instant commissions<br />
paid directly to their Paypal accounts.  I considered the<br />
instant payment feature important because I knew that many<br />
of my potential affiliates, just like the larger general<br />
population, were feeling the pinch of the economic recession.<br />
Given a choice, they would rather have any money they can<br />
earn paid INSTANTLY, rather than having to wait weeks or<br />
even a month or more.</p>
<p>So, I set up my affiliate program, and announced in several<br />
places that it was open and paid an instant 50% commission or<br />
$13.50 per sale.  Without too much effort, I quickly<br />
recruited 30 or so affiliates including some who instantly<br />
started generating sales.</p>
<p>As word spread, sales started increasing and I realized that<br />
the WSO itself could very easily generate $100,000 in sales,<br />
but that was NOT the $100,000 I would emphasize in my<br />
30 days of updates.</p>
<p>By January 8th, I had gotten so much positive feedback, that<br />
I realized that I was CREATING a million dollar launch right<br />
in front of everyone&#8217;s eyes, and that all aspects of the<br />
launch were creating themselves in synch!</p>
<p>I instantly noticed for example that since I had already<br />
announced that I was going to sell the product that I was<br />
creating over the course of approximately 30 days, for a<br />
price of $197, when it was finished, that conditions began<br />
to instantly align to make that not only easy to do, but to<br />
also turn that very launch into a million dollar launch.</p>
<p>I do plan on supplementing the email notes that I write<br />
during the 30-day period with audios, videos, PDF&#8217;s,<br />
and other supporting materials.  So this course showing<br />
how I generated the &#8220;magical&#8221; six figures that so many<br />
people aspire to&#8230; in a single month, will certainly be worth<br />
$197.</p>
<p>Doing some quick calculations, I realized that at $197 per<br />
copy, I only need to sell 5,077 copies to generate<br />
$1 million. Rolling it out as an affiliate product, means<br />
that I&#8217;ll end up paying 50% on many orders to other.</p>
<p>However, I would expect to make maybe 10% of those sales<br />
myself. So if I pay 50% commission on the other 4569 sales,<br />
I would end up with only $550,063. That would be 100% on<br />
the 508 copies that I sold at $197, plus 50% on the 4569<br />
copies that others sold&#8230; with some rounding in there<br />
to make the math simpler.</p>
<p>That $550,063 is before expenses and taxes, so don&#8217;t feel<br />
envious yet <img src='http://www.imarketingmagazine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>In looking at a launch, and the associated expenses, one of<br />
the biggest ones that the launch&#8217;s success depends upon is<br />
strong sales copy that is filled with irrefutable,<br />
third-party proof.  People are naturally skeptical of what<br />
I say about my own product, but if members of their own<br />
community tell them how good it is, then the battle is<br />
95% won.</p>
<p>By January 8th, I was getting so many positive comments<br />
on the training, that could easily be incorporated into the<br />
sales letter (many easily supplemented with video<br />
testimonials), that the sales letter HAS essentially<br />
written itself.</p>
<p>A &#8220;million dollar sales letter&#8221; has literally written<br />
itself when I simply stepped out of my own way and allowed<br />
it to happen.</p>
<p>Most online product launches fail to be massively successful,<br />
or even moderately successful, because they fail to get<br />
enough affiliates interested, and so they never gain enough<br />
launch momentum.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s where a good joint venture broker can help, and I&#8217;ve<br />
trained and certified a dozen of them that I can recommend<br />
to you <img src='http://www.imarketingmagazine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Since I will eventually have literally thousands of people<br />
who have already gone through my training, I won&#8217;t have<br />
that problem BECAUSE they will all know the high quality<br />
of my materials intimately, so when offered the opportunity<br />
to promote the $197 product at 50% commission, I expect<br />
more than enough people to needed to create a million-dollar<br />
launch  to step forward and say yes,</p>
<p>So, what you are witnessing right before your eyes is a<br />
self-fulfilling prophesy.  I do have to deliver on the<br />
promise to show them how I&#8217;m generating $100,000 doing<br />
things that they can easily do, but as you can tell from reading<br />

MOST current subscribers who have shared an opinion, actually<br />
feel that I&#8217;m already over-delivering.</p>
<p>For those who &#8220;get it,&#8221; I am not only generating over<br />
$100,000 in profits during a month when I&#8217;ll spend eight<br />
day out “goofing off” on a Caribbean cruise, but I&#8217;ll set up<br />
for my first of many million-dollar months.</p>
<p>Actually, what I have already set in motion is the beginning<br />
of numerous million dollar months, and many<br />
multi-million-dollar months.</p>
<p>When you watch it unfold from my vantage point, you&#8217;ll see<br />
that this whole internet marketing thing in not really a<br />
bunch of hype and BS. Yes, that is rampant in our niche, but<br />
that&#8217;s why I&#8217;m documenting what I do <img src='http://www.imarketingmagazine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Going back to how I started to set this whole thing in<br />
motion&#8230; I met Brian Ridgway on the Marketers Cruise in<br />
January 2011, and we connected on a spiritual level. I could<br />
sense that we viewed many aspect of the world in the same<br />

<p>As I survey the landscape of online marketing, I find some<br />
things that I see&#8230; very disturbing.  One of the most<br />
disturbing is the tendency for marketers to NOT give you<br />
the full truth in an effort to get you to do what they are<br />
certain will help you.</p>
<p>Despite what you may believe, most &#8220;internet marketers&#8221;<br />
that I know are honest and caring people.  Many have<br />
discovered ways to earn a nice living working from the<br />
comfort of their homes.  They now want to earn a living by<br />
teaching you to do the same.</p>
<p>The problem that these marketers encounter is that most<br />
of their prospective customers are very skeptical, but at<br />
the same time full of hope.  So, the marketers tap into<br />
deep emotional dreams rather than relying upon the<br />
prospective customers&#8217; judgment.</p>
<p>I titled this article &#8220;the God&#8217;s Honest Truth About<br />
Internet Marketing&#8221; not to imply that you haven&#8217;t been<br />
getting the truth all along from many marketers. I WILL<br />
point out that many marketers have been giving you<br />
&#8220;half-truths.&#8221;</p>
<p>They have only been giving you part of the picture<br />
because they knew that to do otherwise will usually<br />
lead to your doing nothing. They only gave you the part<br />
of the picture that they calculated that you needed to<br />
know to make the decision that they desired.</p>
<p>My 20 years spent in the military taught me the &#8220;need<br />
to know&#8221; concept too.  Security and survival often<br />
depended upon not sharing confidential information<br />
with too many people. So, I understand exactly what my<br />
fellow marketers are trying to accomplish, and why.</p>
<p>However, I believe that you can handle the whole truth.</p>
<p>So, let me share just a few facts with you here, and<br />
then I&#8217;ll continue in Part 2 of this article.</p>
<p>Truth #1:  Earning a living online is not as easy as<br />
your would like to believe.  Think about it&#8230; if it<br />
were THAT easy, everyone would quit their day jobs and<br />
start online businesses.</p>
<p>The laws of economics prove that if anyone is making<br />
an exceptionally high profit in any niche, it will<br />
attract competitors&#8230; and will continue to do so<br />
until the market reaches equilibrium&#8230; that point at<br />
which people will no longer be drawn from other options<br />
in disproportionate numbers.</p>
<p>The easily observed fact that the rest of the world has<br />
not all quit their day jobs, and rushed to the internet,<br />
shows you that it&#8217;s like any other business, and not a<br />
magic button.</p>
<p>So, you need to come to the table prepared to put in<br />
some serious effort if you plan on building an online<br />
business.</p>
<p>Truth #2:  There are people earning six, seven, and<br />
even eight figures running online businesses.  At the<br />
same time, there are a lot MORE people not earning a<br />
penny online.  The difference is that some took the<br />
time to actually LEARN what works.  A tiny percentage<br />
figured it out on their own, but a much higher<br />
percentage of successful online marketers learned from<br />
others who had already blazed the trail.</p>
<p>A while back, I did an informal survey on the Internet<br />
Marketing Warriors discussion forum. I asked how many<br />
people there would be happy earning just $100 per day<br />
online&#8230; if they could do it consistently and have to<br />
put in only 1-2 hours per day doing it.</p>
<p>The not-to-surprising answer to my survey was that<br />
the vast majority of people responding were not earning<br />
a mere $100 per day, and would love to learn how to do<br />
that. Think about it&#8230;</p>
<p>Most of the people on the most popular forum in the<br />
internet marketing niche were not earning even $3000<br />
per month in their online businesses.  Things have not<br />
changed much since that survey.</p>
<p>Incidentally, I took that information as validation<br />
that the world wanted to know some simple, proven<br />
ways that they COULD earn just $100 per day online.<br />
So, along with 18 co-authors, I wrote an ebook where<br />

<p>Truth #3:  You generally need to be instructed in<br />
how to do any endeavor.  Most of us learn to do most<br />
things by having someone teach us, or by watching<br />
someone else do them.</p>
<p>You would never go into any trade or profession in the<br />
offline world without getting properly trained first.<br />
Even if you were just taking  a job as a clerk at a<br />
local convenience store, you would expect to be trained<br />
HOW to do the job.  So, why would you expect things to<br />
be different in the online world?</p>
<p>Plan on having someone else show you the ropes, or<br />
anticipate a steep learning curve.</p>
<p>Even the path to having someone else teach you is<br />
fraught with danger.  That danger is largely due to<br />
a tendency for many in internet marketing to &#8220;fake<br />
it until you make it.&#8221;</p>
<p>That is, those who haven&#8217;t achieved any real online<br />
success will often pretend to be successful in order<br />
to make sales to you.  They reason that if you don&#8217;t<br />
believe they are already successful that you won&#8217;t<br />
be interested in what they have to teach/sell.</p>
<p>That assumption is partly true, but it&#8217;s true only<br />
for those who choose to teach others how to build an<br />
online business&#8230; before they have done it.</p>
<p>The solution for those starting online businesses who<br />
notice that &#8220;Catch-22&#8243; is simply not to get into that<br />
niche.  Instead, you get into a niche where you are<br />
actually an expert&#8230; or more knowledgeable than your<br />
prospective customers.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the thing&#8230; when you get into one of those<br />
OTHER niches, you often have a lot more potential<br />
customers, those customers spend more, and since you are<br />
doing something that you really enjoy you are less<br />
likely to burn out.</p>
<p>So plan on spending a little time actually thinking about<br />
and researching the niche that you will build your business<br />
in!</p>

<p>He talks about something called, Google commands, which are basically tools you can use to research how well web sites are ranking and why they are ranking. In this tutorial, he talks specifically about keywords, anchor text and using the Google command called &#8220;allinanchor&#8221;.</p>
